Warranty Policy
1. Scope and Statutory Rights
This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is provided by the manufacturer (“Company”). This Warranty supplements, and does not replace, your statutory rights under applicable US state laws. Nothing in this Warranty limits those statutory rights. This Warranty applies only to products purchased and used within the United States.
Important: Before riding for the first time, please read the accompanying User Manual carefully. Off-road riding has specific risks, and the manual contains important safety information as well as instructions for assembly, adjustment, and maintenance specific to off-road use.
2. Geographical Coverage
This Warranty applies exclusively to Products purchased and used within the United States (including the District of Columbia). Warranty replacement parts will be shipped only to addresses located within the United States. This Warranty does not apply in US territories, Canada, Mexico, or any other territory.
3. Warranty Period and Eligibility

Commercial Warranty Period: Varies by component as set forth in Section 5, commencing from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.

Warranty Eligibility: This commercial Warranty applies only to the first original purchaser and only to products purchased through authorized Company channels.

Effect of Warranty Service: Any repair or replacement performed under this Warranty will not extend the original commercial warranty period.
4. Consumer's Responsibilities
The consumer shall exercise reasonable care and follow all maintenance, storage, and operating instructions set out in the Owner’s Manual. Failure to do so may affect warranty coverage.
5. Warranty Periods by Component
The Company warrants that during the warranty period, the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship when used and maintained normally in accordance with the User Manual and official guidelines. This Warranty covers:

6. Cost Responsibility

Valid Warranty Claims (confirmed as material or workmanship defects): The Company covers the material cost of replacement parts and the shipping cost for the new part. The user is responsible for the return shipping cost of the defective part, as well as all labor, installation, and local service fees.

Shipping Damage Claims (confirmed as transit damage): The user must provide photo or video evidence within 48 hours of receipt. Upon confirmation, the Company covers all round-trip shipping costs for the replacement.

Non-Warranty Service (user damage, normal wear, out-of-warranty, modifications, etc.): The user is responsible for all material, labor, and shipping costs. The Company may offer paid repair services.
7. Special Conditions for Off-Road Use
Electric off-road vehicles are designed for recreational riding on unpaved roads and off-road tracks. Given the specific nature of off-road riding, the following are not covered under this Warranty:

Extreme Riding Behaviors: Stunts, jumping, ramp jumps, racing competitions, extreme off-road use, severe falls, or any use beyond the product’s intended design parameters.

Accelerated Wear from High-Intensity Use: In off-road conditions, components such as suspension systems, braking systems, drivetrain (chain, sprockets), tires, and rims wear at a significantly faster rate than in on-road riding. Such wear is considered normal consumption and is not covered.

Water and Mud Immersion: Damage to the motor, battery, or controller caused by riding in water exceeding the product’s designed wading depth or in extreme mud conditions.

Failure to Perform Off-Road Specific Maintenance: Damage resulting from failure to clean the vehicle after off-road use, failure to inspect fastener torque as required, or failure to perform regular maintenance on suspension and bearing systems.
8. Exclusions
This Warranty does not cover any damage or issues caused by:

Natural and Cosmetic Factors: Corrosion, rust, paint fading, scratches, decal damage, cosmetic wear, impact marks.

User Actions: Crash damage, misuse, abuse, neglect, irreversible modifications (including but not limited to welding, drilling, or cutting the frame; unauthorized modifications, cracking, or installation of third-party firmware on the electrical system; disassembly of motor or battery enclosure).

Non-Original Modifications and Accessories: Use of accessories, modification parts, chargers, or auxiliary equipment not provided or approved by the Company.

Improper Operation and Maintenance: Failure to assemble, operate, maintain, or store the product in accordance with the User Manual; use of incompatible chargers; prolonged deep discharge or improper battery storage.

External Causes: Fire, flood, storm, lightning, earthquake, theft, accidental damage, improper transport (when transported by the user).

Normal Wear and Tear: Including but not limited to: brake pads, brake rotors, tires, inner tubes, chains, sprockets, freewheels, grips, saddle covers, bearings (headset, bottom bracket, hub bearings), pedals, spokes, cables, light housings.

Identification Issues: Products with serial numbers or frame numbers that have been removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or rendered illegible.

Others: All free accessories and promotional gifts are not covered under this Warranty.
9. Warranty Claim Process
All warranty claims must be submitted via email to [sales@zawes.com].

Submit Materials: Provide clear proof of purchase (order number, invoice), photos or videos of the damaged item, and a brief description of the issue. We'll do our best to get back to you within 48 hours. All claims must be submitted within the warranty period.

Diagnosis: The Company may require the user to assist with remote diagnosis (e.g., voltage measurement, specific-angle photos, riding data). For complex issues, the Company may require the product to be returned for inspection.

Processing and Authorization: Any repair costs incurred from self-repair or third-party repairs without prior written authorization from the after-sales team will not be covered by the Company.

Resolution: For confirmed valid warranty claims, the Company will process the claim in accordance with Section 6 “Cost Responsibility.”
10. Second-Hand Products

The Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Any second-hand, resold, or otherwise transferred Product is not covered under this Warranty.

Proof of original purchase does not extend Warranty coverage to any subsequent owner.
11. Theft and Privacy
Product theft is not covered under this Warranty or any Extended Warranty plan.
Privacy Notice: To protect customer privacy, Zawes does not record, store, or track vehicle frame numbers or serial numbers. We recommend that you independently record your E-Bike's frame number and serial number upon receipt and store this information securely for your own records. Consider purchasing separate bicycle insurance for theft protection.
12. Limitation of Liability and Governing Law

Limitation of Consequential Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this product, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, loss of profit, or interruption of riding activities. Off-road riding inherently involves risks, and the purchaser assumes such risks accordingly. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Governing Law: This Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of [Insert State], without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and by applicable federal law. The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded.

Language: This Warranty is written in English. In the event of any ambiguity, the English version shall prevail.
13. Statutory Rights
This Warranty is a voluntary commercial guarantee and does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
14. Amendments
Zawes reserves the right to amend this Policy. Amendments apply only to Products purchased after the amendment date.
